Heath sent me this Radiohead B side called 4 minute warning a while ago. Not sure what it was, but the first minute immediately made me think of rushing water. I could already hear that constant static noise that powerful water makes, so I basically edited this piece of video in my head weeks before even seeing the Colorado. This whole environment created by the river cutting through the canyon is one of the greatest things I’ve ever seen. You just float along and look at almost 2 billion years of history right in front of your face.
If you watch until the end, you’ll get a rare glimpse of a usually unflappable person, slightly shaken. That deep sigh at the end makes me laugh every time.
