Last February I was ichatting with Heath and subtly mentioned that we should find a way to climb El Capitan in Yosemite. I sent him a picture of two guys sleeping in a hanging cot 2,000 ft off of a sheer cliff. I sent the picture to him and waited…………..it was bait…
Somehow I knew that it would start twirling around in his head and then he’d start asking questions.
So once the seed was planted it just became a long drawn out series of steps that would finally lead to getting a call last night from Timmy O’Neill saying that we would start climbing in two weeks. TWO WEEKS?!! (google him)
So that’s it, on September 17th we’re going up this rock, and will live on that wall for 5 days:

“Rising more than 3,000 feet above the Valley floor, it is the largest monolith of granite in the world”
Awesome! can’t wait to read the blog (and see the photos)
Time to rip off some pull ups. Good luck.
Push-ups and Sit-ups…everyday…from now till then. Seriously. Do it.
ride your bike there.
This will be amazing. Sadly my fear of heights would prevent me from ever doing that. I am going to hike Torres del Paine in Patagonia this December though. Cheers to having good adventures!!
Fucking brilliant, O’Neill looks to be hilarious as well as qualified to guide you guys.
Shrewgy!! You’re back.
Heath is going “Gun Ho” man that is quite a rock climb. Im happy for those 2 being able to get a break and enjoy a vacation!
